STITCH LIST S/S12

This super-cute pleated frock, this pleated top, so understated, Anne's tux and I could love the pants off Georgia right now.

MISCHIEF

So today I took a little trip to the Emmaus in Bougival, and I found myself some treasures:

1. A delightful little airforce jacket
2. A blue, mid-calf 50s dress, post-war acidulé
3. A handmade black velvet dress, oh so Audrey
4. A little tie-up daisy-print blouse, a la Brigitte
5. and a CHRISTIAN DIOR DRESS!
6. a pair of red silk curtains (yes, you heard right, curtains, a whole 10 metres of them), to make myself a dress like this, because, hey, what's a girl gotta do? (such a Sound of Music moment!)

all for a total of 25€.

:)

Pictures up soon. Meanwhile, enjoy:

SO NEO-LONDON

So guess who's going to be in London on June? Spending a week, so I thought I'd get planning. What to pack? Some shorts, some cooky shoes, T-shirts with an edge and an austere black maxi dress, shocking trousers.

LONDON BABY!

Ovums, Easter Eggs

Easter is round the bend, so here's some inspiration for your eggs. Use coloured paper, cloth, glitter them, wax drawing and ink, trace them with india ink, marble them with dye and oil. Enjoy!

DESTINATIONS

On the agenda for July: Canterbury's Lounge on the Farm. This year the headliner is the brilliant Emeli Sande (who is great live), last year it was Ellie Goulding. I went last year - the food is great and there are some great stalls. a great festival to get started with, as Reading & Co. can be a bit much first time round.

EARGASM

PROJECT

Here is a dress you may or may not have seen alot of last year. Unfortunately, when I ran to H&M to grab myself one, they were completely and utterly sold out. therefore, I am going to attempt to re-create it. I'll be needing cream-coloured cotton, whalebone for the bodice, and some textured material for the band of embroidered stuff and the bottom. To make the bodice, I think I'm going to have to find a cheap corset and deconstruct it to use as a pattern, whilst the skirt is very straightforward and gathered. I'm thinking I could wear it with these shoes?
